What better fixture could you ask for on half term weekend (obviously no female team can play a scheduled league game, we've all got kids to look after don't you know?) than a match against the old enemy that is H&W L5s, especially with the same game as league in a few short weeks?
Saturday afternoon saw the L5s take on the challenge of second placed Southgate and keen to repair the ego damage inflicted last time the teams met. It wasn't a pretty game by any stratch of the imagination, but the WHHC determination showed in many ways, including scoring the games only goal and coming away victors on the day.
Could we keep that record going for another week? Would we have a full team, and would we all be there on time? As Meatloaf once said, two out of three ain't bad, so it was a team short a sub and almost on time that travelled to PHC Chiswick (without going to that place of nightmares called "south of the river"... brrr, shiver at the thought), and came away victors by 4 goals to none!
