Season round-up 2005/6
Benefitting from fantastic continuity from the 2004/5 team with ... errrrr 1 previous 5s player. 2005/6 was always going to be a strange one. A team playing a few leagues higher and captained by a man with less on-field vision than an ostrich with its head in the sand.

Not surprisingly in the higher league the defence was busy this year. As a unit the defence was tenacious and was most likely to produce the man of the match in Andy Hon or Mark Sutton, defending with surprising energy (well not surprising as they had been resting for a few years in the 6s and had forgotten what a defensive short corner entailed)

The usual midfield suspects were bolstered by the arrival of Antony McVickers and Chris "Diego" Woodfield, with Chris "Bambi" Baker and the ever present Barnesy taking the forward positions.

Best Game of the season: Away at Rover Oxford, having lost to them at home and tonking them 3-1 away after a "spirited" half time team talk.

Best Moment of the Season: Dave Mortimer is felled in an outrageous off the ball incident. Tardy sprints 40 yards, knocks the large rotund offender to the ground with the words "YOU SHIT!" right in front of the referees. No-one says a word. West Hampstead, opposition or referees ... play continues. Justice is served.
